Katherine Shayne, with a masters in environmental engineering, is a Co-Founder and resides as CEO, having been trained in entrepreneurship at UGA. Her background involves the use of citizen-science to measure, track, and predict leakage of waste in the natural environment. She has worked with innovative think-tanks seeking to use the power of industry, NGOs and government to rethink plastic packaging, as well as plastic pollution sourcing companies to develop standards for “Ocean Plastic” material in clothing and textiles.
